Acupuncture is one of the Four Pillars of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) available for dogs, cats and horses
- Performed on people and animals for thousands of years now backed by modern research
- Dr. Brown uses a combination of dry needle, electroacupuncture, hemoacupuncture & aquapuncture based in individual patient needs

Yes! Your pet will benefit from acupuncture
- Acupuncture can be integrated into most, if not all, medical conditions alongside general medicine
- Dr. Brown recommends a combination of Acupuncture, Chines Herbal Medicine & TCVM Food Therapy for optimal results
- Patient specific treatment plans require an active VCPR
- Stabilization & continued treatment with primary care DVM or specialist prior to starting TCVM is required for certain conditions such as congestive heart failure, diabetes, seizures, etc.

Acupuncture Treatment Frequency 
The number & frequency of treatments varies with each individual patient
- Three to six treatments 1 to 2 weeks apart then monthly or as needed on a case-by-case basis is most common
- Many patients benefit from tune up treatments every 1 to 3 months as maintenance of chronic conditions and general wellness and prevention
- Treatment packages or individual treatments available after initial TCVM exam/consult
- More than one treatment is needed to gauge a response
- TCVM is a slow process compared to Western Medicine requiring commitment to healing and well being

Chinese Herbal Prescription 
Dr. Brown utilizes Jing Tang herbal blends with convenient home delivery
- Each herbal blend is formulated to treat specific TCVM diagnostic patterns.
- Many patients have multiple patterns requiring more than one herbal blend or a change in blends as underlying layers and root causes are peeled and treated. Many blends are given for 1 to 6 months pending individual patient response.
- Formulations are blend specific and may be available as tea pill, tincture, capsule, powder or topical. Powders can be mixed with food or baked into treats.
- This service is available for active TCVM acupuncture patients only. Additional fees & restrictions apply

TCVM Food Therapy 
Food Therapy is one the four pillars of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM)
- utilizes diet to treat and prevent imbalances within the body
- involves home cooking your pet's food.
- may be as simple as providing a single food item, top dressing your pets current diet with specific foods or more complex by creating complete and balanced TCVM based homecooked recipes
TCVM Food Therapy Profiles and Recipes 
TCVM Food Therapy recommendations are based on the principles of TCVM, food energetics, patient TCVM pattern diagnosis and more.
- Available for dogs, cats and horses (neonates excluded)
- Please allow a minimum of 14 days for completion.
- No refunds, transfers or exchanges
- Basic Profiles vs Custom Profiles (pending wait list)
- Please note this is not the same as a veterinary board-certified nutritionist consult.
- Not available for growing puppies or kittens
