Dr. Brown travels via car with her field assistant, Jim and conducts exams in the home, secured yard or barn
Greeting
Brief patient history & medical record review with focus on current reason for appointment ( one medical concern per appointment)
Up to 1 hour total one on one doctor appointment time (up to 2 hours for Integrative appointments)-additional fees apply for extended time
Exam
Comprehensive Physical Exam for one pet
Recommendations
Discussion of recommendations, Q & A
Lab Specimens
Lab sample collection with results within 1 to 3 business days pending test submitted
Treatments
Perform recommended or requested treatments
Prescriptions, Supplements & Herbs
Dr. Brown carries commonly prescribed medications, supplements, herbs, etc. to dispense in home and offers convenient home delivery via her small business online pharmacy & store. Thank you for supporting Dr. Brown as a small business local vendor
Complimentary Written Prescriptions are available upon request for owners to take or mail directly to third party pharmacies (local/online) of their choice. Dr. Brown does not directly authorize third party pharmacy requests online or local and works exclusively with her online store. Pharmacy Policies
Invoicing and charting
Payment is due at time services are rendered with all transfers being completed prior to appointment end. Payments plans unavailable. Pet Insurance Policy
Recheck/Treatment Scheduling
Recheck appointments are recommended within two to four weeks of initial exam. Acupuncture treatment frequency varies from patient to patient
Complimentary Remote Follow Up 
Each in person appointment receives one complimentary two week or less post appointment TeLeVET follow up via the form below

HOW TO PREPARE THE DAY OF YOUR PETS SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT
CATS 
Please have cats enclosed in a small room where they can not hide or run away such as a bathroom if needed. Cat wrangling is not a provided service!
For nervous cats the exam will be conducted in this room so please clear counters and remove personal effects to avoid accidental breakage by stressed cats. Dr. Brown and staff will not be held responsible for any broken items not removed from area
DOGS 
Please have collars on dogs to help with restraint
Dogs can be examined outside in a secure yard or in the home
HORSES 
Please have halter and lead rope for horses. Cross ties preferred for acupuncture if available
ALL PATIENTS
Please make sure patients presented for acupuncture are clean and dry
Reminder: Dr. Brown has a zero tolerance aggressive pet policy that was agreed to on the new client form. She does not offer or carry sedation due to the nature of this practice. All fees still apply if a dog, cat or horse is aggressive and not able to be fully examined
