POLICIES
For safety purposes Dr. Brown DOES NOT accept pets with a history of AGGRESSION or IN NEED OF SEDATION for exams
This policy is in place for the protection of everyone, including you and your pet
Dr. Brown will not, under any circumstances, risk the physical, mental, or livelihood safety of herself, her family or her staff
Medical records & proof of previous or current rabies vaccine information is required for all new patient request consideration. If you do not have this information for your pet please explain reasoning in an email (puppy/kitten/new pet/rescue, etc.)
Pets with any indication of temperament concerns as mentioned above in medical record history will not be accepted as new patients for safety purposes. Failure to provide medical record history or acceptable reasons will deactivate request
Note: deliberately withholding medical records for a pet with a known or previous history of aggression will result in immediate firing
If any pet is deemed TOO AGGRESSIVE TO EXAMINE DURING AN EXAM via housecall, barn-call or Soul Puppy, the FULL FEE FOR TIME & TRAVEL STILL APPLY
Dr. Brown reserves the right to refuse service at her discretion before, during or after appointments where aggressive behavior may be of concern

TRIAL PROBATION CONDITION CONSIDERATION BASED ON TEMPERMENT HISTORY OR LACK OF
The conditions and selection for this potential option varies on a case by case basis at Dr. Browns discretion
Email notification will be sent if a new patient request is offered an appointment under conditions of probationary status
BREEDS/SPECIES
Applies to all species and breeds or mixes that Dr. Brown treats as they all have teeth!
Myth: My pet only growls he doesn't bite.
Fact: If an animal has teeth it can bite!

PUBLIC AWARENESS
Several of Dr. Browns personal Rottweilers have been on television for topics such as breed discrimination, oral health care demos, etc.
Declining to see an aggressive pet is NOT the same as breed discrimination

Dr. Brown spent three days in the hospital for a cat bite
While taking a new patient history during a housecall, Dr. Brown was pulled off a couch by an unprovoked German Shepherd that proceeded to drag her across the room and would not let go of her hand........
